Eraser Stamp Carving
Yay! finally I made my first eraser stamp, it’s so popular these days. Unfortunately in my country there’s not much tools available specially made for rubber/eraser carving. There’s no carving block nor the carving tools, well.. we have carving tools but there’s no size 1 for detail like the speedball or staedler has.
Luckily my friend gave me this vintage carving tool that has small size although it’s not size one, and I think it’s intended for a different media like wood. But there’s a say here in my country “tak ada rotan, akar pun jadi” literally means “there’s no rattan, then root it is” which meaaans we could use everything available that we have to make it happen.. So I make it happens.
Here’s some of the stamps that I made
I'm addicted now, and purchased online for a carving block so I could make a bigger design. I learned many things these past few days and I will share it on my blog.. So stay tune

Es Oyen Logo
I made this logo for a friend of mine. She opens a drink bar that serve a refreshing drink called es oyen. Its very yummy! Ill get you the photo of it when I ask my friend for a free sample :wink
So the story behind the logo is she wants the logo to have her face on it, so I made a chibi version of her and Culak is her nickname from her friends. Culak or cula is a rhinos horn haha hilarious! because she like to strike at people with her words :D
Dont you love it when your work has a beautiful or funny story behind it? I sure do.

Progress of Deni in Action
5 days of work gone! if you could imagine how his face looks after he knows his work had all gone, its like this
So after he got a hold of himself, he start working again.. and it's almost done, just a little this and that. Then I'll show you what it looks like and the story of it.
So the theme looks like it's heaven meets hell here. Let's just ask the designer after it finished and I'll update sometime later. Cherio for now

Deni in Action
Deni is working on an art cover album for our local black metal band called BANDOSO. so the concept for the cover album is very dark and gothic (it's a demon and an angel if you squinting your eyes try to see what is that image he is drawing)..
Did I mention before that we are from Indonesia, on a city called Yogyakarta its located on the Javanese island. So this band are from Javanese island too although from different city, so they like too add a bit javanese culture on their work as well as on their cover album and merchandise design.
Maybe I will just update this post when the cover's done then I could show you that bit of Javanese culture and what it is.
